The standard
This is what we’d expect from a meal planner in 2026.

Meal Whisperer Plus is the Meal Whisperer subscription: 7 days free, then $9.99 a month or $59.99 a year in the US. Prices vary by country, and the App Store shows yours before you subscribe. It includes everything in the table.
Pro is Mealime’s paid tier, free for everyone since September 2026. Food+ is Samsung Food’s subscription. Partial means the feature exists in a limited form: ReciMe searches the recipes you have saved by ingredient.
Mealime is transitioning to Meals Hub following the announced October 21, 2026 shutdown of the standalone Mealime app. Features and availability may vary by product and plan. Competitor features last checked October 2026.

How the others compare
Mealime / Meals Hub. Mealime built the plan, shop, cook routine around a fixed library of chef-written recipes and an auto-generated grocery list. The standalone app shuts down on October 21, 2026; its recipes continue inside Meals Hub in Albertsons Companies store apps, which plan a week and add it to a grocery cart but do not create or change recipes.
ReciMe. ReciMe is a recipe keeper first: it imports recipes from social video, the web and photos, organizes them into cookbooks and lets you plan a week and build a grocery list from what you saved. It has no taste profile and does not generate recipes; its paid tier adds unlimited imports and a cooking assistant.
Samsung Food. Samsung Food (formerly Whisk) is a large free recipe community with a weekly planner and a shopping list. Its Food+ subscription adds tailored weekly plans, pantry-aware search and AI edits to saved recipes. It suits people who already collect recipes online and want a planner on top.
